GALACTICON 2006 - Page 1 Jamestown, NY, July 8-9!
Here are the dealer's tables at GalactiCon, always a great start to the con displaying promoter creativity. This photo also features the dramatic return of Pete Beck (standing) to GalactiCon.
Mike Bocianowski, creator of the charming fantasy, Yets, discussed his comic books with convention attendees. Keep his name in mind. We can easily imagine a Yets movie somewhere down the line.
Neal Nelson (with Gladiator war paint), Alex Filsinger, and Rob Beaubien helped at the Filsinger Games tables. Surprise releases inclulded the Monolith T-Shirts. They're a limited supply item so get one while you still can!
The Student Union at Jamestown Community College was the perfect home for GalactiCon! Here's some game playing in one corner of the Student Union.
CPC guru Mark Ashby discussed the new edition coming in November. It's gonna be a smash!
aCe writer Kris Osk debuted new playing cards for Aegis and Murdok as well as sharing his ideas about the aCe trilogy.
Tom got animated talking about Subversion 2121 and Monolith. He even shared some artwork depicting Monolith in the design stages. Photo by Pete Beck.
Incredibly the biggest hit at the auction was the old posters promoting Greg Valentine's nonappearance at GalactiCon 1998. This one was sold to Jim Steinhoff for $50 and he didn't buy it to put up in his bedroom.
Here's another poster that sold to Pete Fusco. The GalactiCon tradition of defacing this poster is stronger than ever! And the best news is the money goes to support creativity and the arts at a local school.
This area is called the "patio" and was yet another place for game playing and visiting. All in all the surroundings were very conducive for a game convention. Note the vintage Wolf T-Shirt worn by Jim Steele.
