THE GWF INVADES THE
MOTOR CITY COMIC CON
ON MAY 14-16, 1999!
Former WWF Heavyweight Champion and Tag-Team Champion, the Iron Sheik gave the new Champions of the Galaxy boxed set a big thumbs up at the Motor City Comic Con! We loved meeting the Iron Sheik, who was a real class act.
Tom had the chance to meet one of the biggest Champions of the Galaxy game fans, King Kong Bundy, in person at the Motor City Con! Also pictured is Tom's brother, Paul. King Kong Bundy has bought 12 of our introductory boxed sets, so if he likes Champions of the Galaxy that much, it must be great! Thanks again, big guy!
Brian "The Crippler" Costello, wrestling star of the CIWA, took the time to give Champions of the Galaxy a plug! We appreciate it and wish you luck in your career, Brian!
On Saturday and Sunday there were some cool GWF tournaments in the gaming area. In this tournament, Matt Dickendesher, Marcus Landrum, Tim Chervenak, and Kevin Michaels battle it out! As it turned out, Star Warrior, led by Matt Dickendesher, defeated the Invincible Krakan in a Falls Count Anywhere Match to win this tournament!
Here's Paul carefully watching everything at the Champions of the Galaxy publishers booth at the convention. It was great to meet many GWF game fans who live in the Michigan area. Let it also be known that Paul Filsinger (with Tom) was the first person to play COTG regularly before it was sold on the market many years ago!
